Menton's Night Market - Bracelets
It's Theme Day once again in the City Daily Photo community and today's subject is an 'Open Air Market.'
Here we see one of the stalls at Menton's Night Market that takes place in the summer months at the foot of the Old Town near to the Bastion. It's great fun to wander the stalls after dinner and perhaps be tempted by the many goodies on display.

Jilly, I'll take an armful of the pinks! Beautiful colors -- my idea of a fun shopping market.
ReplyDeleteThe ribbons are incredibly beautiful and the hand in the photo is so graceful with its long fingers.

ReplyDeleteOh, I really like what you've done here, Jilly.
ReplyDeleteShe has such a delicate arm/hand. So long and slender. I bet that helps her sell her bracelets. That and the gorgeous colours they come in.
ReplyDeleteWow, what gorgeous colors. You could have used these photos for the recent colors theme day, which I think was a month or two ago. This looks like a really fun shop; color's always a good lure.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant first photo: I love your take on the open air market!
ReplyDeleteBangles! I thought I was in INdia, all the more because I just came from Alexa's blog, where she has posted Ganesh, the elephant god, remover of obstacles.
ReplyDeleteLove these bangles...
Wow. What a nice treat, Jilly. And what a collection of bangles
ReplyDeleteWonderful color and patterns here. Very creative interpretation of the theme.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the colorful bracelets! I think I could be separated from my money very easily with goods like these around.
ReplyDeleteNice colors! Didn't know they were some night markets in Grance.
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors. I would probably have to give into temptation and buy something at this market!
ReplyDeleteAn open air market at night is quite rare here except for festivals or holidays.
ReplyDeleteThis is so irresistible. How fun it would be to mix and match a number of these, and a feast of color for the eyes, although I think I would end up purchasing something more along the lines of what the proprietor is wearing. :-) Perfect theme day image Ms. Jilly. It's also nice to see her in the context of her booth.

ReplyDeleteI must have been out of my mind, I completely forgot about Theme day and didn't post - what a pity, Avignon has no shortage of wonderful markets !
Thanks for your kind comment about "a telephone and a smile". You really are the one who inspired me in taking shots such as this one. When I posted it I was really thinking of you. I don't think I would ever have thought of looking at people so much before.
