Today we are back on the port for the Newfoundland demonstration that took place a week or so ago. This lovely dog was sitting on the rocks with his owner and a young lady asked if she could have a photograph taken with him. Her husband snapped away...and so did I!
You've captured the joy, Jilly. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJilly,
ReplyDeleteI hate to be nitpicky (actually, that is not true), but I think that rather than saying that the "dog was sitting on the rocks with his owner" it would be more appropriate to say that "the owner was sitting with the dog." That dog is the center of attention wherever the dog may choose to sit, and everyone else is merely an accessory to the dog.
Dave is probably correct. That dog is the star here. But the current accessory looks good as well me thinks.

ReplyDeleteYou always manage to be at the right place at the right time to capture some memorable photo's. This one is also a lovely photo of this magnificent dog, and a pretty young lady.

Très belle photo qui capte le regard des le portail des Daily photo blog.
ReplyDeleteLes deux personnages sont très beau et la pose est naturelle, belle prise.
I think Joanny's on to something, though I suspect you carry the magic inside you and when you stop to focus your camera your magic shines on whatever scene is before you.
ReplyDeleteWhat is that saying again..."A picture is worth..."
ReplyDeleteAnd you have captured a beautiful shot. It almost has a fairy tale aspect to it.
ReplyDeleteDave, that's funny. Actually the girl isn't the owner. I should have written it more clearly that the dog was sitting with its owner and then this girl wanted her photo taken with the dog. She hasn't a clue who the dog is. I agree tho, the dog is the star but they were so good together. She sort of blended with the dog in this photo. So nice to see people who love big dogs like this.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore these dogs. Just so huggable. Lovely, lovely image.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shot. What a dog! I'd love to have you take a picture of me with my Boz. You always capture something special in your portraits.
