one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
We're back in the village of Gorbio for the inauguration of the church's new facade. Here, one of the priests who will officiate waits for his moment - hands behind his back.

This is a wonderful photo, so unusual.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what they have done with the church. Thanks for taking us through the whole process.
I like this picture. It has a sense of mystery. Love the hands!
ReplyDeleteThe picture shows a clean cloak. Is that a sign? The Pope is pleading his case about priests who abuse children – I wonder what stories he doesn't tell? I have nothing against Catholics or any other religion but I don't have any more respect for the clergy than I do used car salesmen and politicians.
ReplyDeleteStill, the photograph is nice. I like the composition and color contrasts.
Those hands, weathered and classic.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that his remarks are being held in such a dignified leather portfolio. I would be worried if he was holding some notes written on the back of an envelope or a napkin.
ReplyDeleteThe contrast between his smooth robes and his aged hands is stunning.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. Visually intriguing but seemingly simple.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful photo Jilly...ditto to Kathy's comment!!!

Jilly, you are a master of this type of shot. You see it and you capture. It is simple but so regal and elegant.
