one of the most beautiful towns on the French Riviera
Yesterday was a joyously glorious day. It was windy and the colours were fabulous and look how the breaking waves echo the low clouds.
Is it any surprise that I LOVE Menton so much!

Same weather here yesterday. I took a 'water walk' by the river....no big, beautiful waves like yours, though!
ReplyDeleteNo, it´s not and I love it so much too and is already longing for next summer… You´re pictures does help a lot though.
ReplyDeleteAnd this image alone makes us love it, too. Thank you for this gem.
ReplyDeleteBreath-taking scenery...
ReplyDeleteIt has been pouring here, which normally last for nine months out of the year,, sigh.

What a gorgeous photo! I can see why you love it so much. Such natural beauty mixes so well with the beauty of the city clinging to the hillside.
ReplyDelete45 odd years of having a house in Airole visiting various places in the locality of France and Italy. Tourists galore head for St Tropez, Cannes, Nice Etc. Please don't let them know about Menton. She is the jewel in the crown.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise at all, fabulous photo. Hope to be back next April
ReplyDeleteclouds and waves, great contrast.
ReplyDeleteBeautful photo. Taken from RCM looking east?
ReplyDeleteNo,taken in Menton itself. I was roughly in front of the Westminster Hotel - actually a little nearer to the market. So actually a long way from RCM. You'd get a much wider sweep of bay had I been in Roquebrune Cap Martin.
ReplyDeleteI love the different shades of blue!
ReplyDeleteCarribean in Menton..

No surprise at all, Jilly !
ReplyDeleteOne picture of you and I completely understand why we both love Menton.
This light against this blue camaieu is a perfection.
Fabulous shot! You are so lucky to live there.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness what a gorgeous picture - framed perfectly too. Sure helps my daydreaming!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, Jilly. I immediately saw the echo of cloud and surf. Wonderful! I haven't yet been to Menton but it is rising on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteOh Jilly,
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed glorious. Picture postcard parfait! Someone in Menton needs to use this for something wonderful.
