The Thief

This naughty pigeon has found something good to eat in these pots of herbs, on sale outside Menton's market.

  1. I especially love the movement in the last photo, the contrast between the sharp and the blur.

  3. Catherine, I thought it was grass for a cat but couldn't think of the name of it. I still can't!

  5. Interesting post in conjunction with the one from the day before--feathers in two might different states of existence. Looking at the Joys of Menton, as well as all of your other photos from nearby, it is not hard at all to understand why you love Menton so very much.

  7. Perhaps he ate a naughty caterpillar and he should be thanked for it.

The last pot of basil I bought had a green caterpillar in it and three-quarters of my plant was eaten up before I managed to spot the culprit. The basil never recovered and died shortly afterwards.
