Youth

Summer has gone and we've had two days and two nights of heavy rain - so obviously this is an archive photo. I love taking 'people' photos - they fascinate me - but why do so many young people look miserable?

  1. She's been waiting for her date for hours. All other people have already gone. Now she's feeling cold.. But she doesn't dare to leave. Maybe he will turn up every moment...

  4. Costas may be on to something. That looks like an early onset case of ennui to me.

  5. Misery loves company – an old saying of my mother. She would say that often if I looked down in the dumps.

I like the portrait even if her t-shirt is misleading. Eyes go there, but see the unexpected. Isn't that a strange one?

  6. Certainly some sadness in her eyes. Not sure why, as she's lovely and bound to become a glamourous MC lady one day.

  9. Another fantastic portrait of yours Jilly. Like Barbara above I'm betting on her waiting for a date. I hope he comes...

I heard the rains were torrential indeed. Glad the hill didn't slide down on your house.
