The Trojan Horse - made of oranges and lemons. What adds to the fun is that as you walk around, each exhibit has an appropriate sound track. For the Trojan Horse, for example, you hear marching soldiers - or perhaps it's the clip-clop of horses' hooves.

When is this? We will have to come down. It looks like fun!

This is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThese are so clever, I wonder what happens to them afterwards?
ReplyDeleteI find this theme as enjoyable as my friend Joy's apple paintings which I've been featuring on my blog the last few days. Interestingly, both subjects are fruit!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful float and series of photographs. I would love to see this in person.
ReplyDeleteThe horse seems to be very tall!
ReplyDeleteThese are just fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteIs there one of Jerusalem?

Oh my goodness, these photos from the lemon festival are wonderful! Do people eat all the lemons and oranges afterwards? I obviously visited Menton at the wrong time of year!
ReplyDeleteCelts, and Vikings, and Trojans, oh my! Splendid, Jilly. I an just imagine your joy at how your photos capture this creativity.
ReplyDeleteNever seen anything like this! Wonder what happens to the fruit.
ReplyDeleteTo everyone who has asked, any fruit that has not rotted is sold off at the end of the festival and is made into jam, wine, liqueur and so on.
