Friendship

The sign hidden in the ivy outside this tiny house in Gorbio says:

'Qui vient en ami,
Arrive toujours trop tard,
Part toujours trop tôt.'

...which roughly translates as: 'a friend is someone who always arrives too late and leaves too early.'

~~~~~
L'écriteau caché dans le lierre à l'extérieur de cette petite maison de Gorbio dit:
'Qui vient en ami,
Arrive toujours trop tard,
Part toujours trop tôt.'
  3. If I saw that sign upon arriving I might wonder if I should be one of the first people to leave the party.
    And they surely do not want people to arrive late for a dinner party.
