Even if the soleil is absent, they sure got the promenade part right.
While the are marching in step, they got their uniform mixed up. Black top, white skirt and white skirt, black top. Someone did not get the memo.
(One of these days I'll tell a funny story about women wearing the same dress to the same function. It involves the White House and President Carter's wife Roslyn, but that will have to wait for a day when I have more time than today.)
I wouldn't mind the lack of soleil! Fresh sea air and not being afraid of a sunburnt! As long as it doesn't rain... I also thought spontaneously "ah, Princess Caroline"!! But this is the Menton site and not the Monte-Carlo-Daily-Photo-site... But who knows, maybe she likes to faire une promenade in Menton as well?? Barbara from Germany

Nice composition, Jilly. The women are in stride together, and they are dressed in the same colors, although reversed. Real harmony.
ReplyDeleteYou don't often see ladies (nor men) dress up like this nowadays! Classy ladies at a classy place!
