The Arabian Horse Show - Dance
The handlers have to be strong to deal with these spirited horses yet when horse and man are in harmony with each other, it looks like some magical Arabian dance.

Les dresseurs doivent être forts pour faire face à ces chevaux fougueux pourtant, quand le cheval et l'homme sont en harmonie l' un avec l' autre, cela ressemble à une danse Arabe magique.
Very impressive! were you near?!
ReplyDeleteMalyss, the first photo was taken on my old GH1 and with a pancake lens (ie fixed, no zoom at all) so yes, I was VERY near! The other two were taken on my zoom lens and I should have used a faster speed to get a sharper photo. The first one has a lot of dust in it as that was in the collecting ring where they reve up the horses to make them show better.
ReplyDeleteWhat a really great series of posts on the Arabian horses Jilly. The reflections in the eye is amazing.
ReplyDeletemagnifique, de tres beaux chevaux
ReplyDeleteIt looks like an exciting Arabian dance!
ReplyDeleteI think it is like magic.
ReplyDeleteJilly, you looked dangerously close to the action... and apparently, you were. Chapeau for stretching your limits and moving out of the comfort zone. These shots are fabulous... I can almost feel the tension in the air.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Fantastic "dancing"!!
ReplyDeleteMagnifique! Thank you for taking us to this spot--I wish I were there in person. The horses are extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine getting to see this in person, Jilly. Wow. Thanks for these fabulous photos!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering about the fur around 3 of his hooves. Is this a grooming thing?
ReplyDeleteYou have some wonderful shots again today Jilly. I'm still taking notes.

At the Scottsdale Araian Horse Show the handlers wear coats and ties. I guess the dress code for your Arabian horse show is "business casual."
ReplyDeleteArabians are such beautiful horses, as a kid I used to have posters of them all over my room before I moved on to pop stars!
ReplyDeleteThree strong action photos today, Jilly.
