Gardens: Maria Serena - the Gate House
Just inside the entrance to the garden is this small house- perhaps it was originally used as a gate house.
Note the frieze above the porch. You often see these decorative friezes in Menton.

Cette petite maison se trouve juste à l'entrée des jardins et peut-être faisait- elle fonction de maison de gardien.
Notez la frise au-dessus du porche. On voit souvent ce genre de frises décoratives à Menton.
