Gone are the empty beaches...this is Menton in July. Young, old, families, lovers, wheelchair bound but most of all - colour, colour, colour.
Tomorrow...a place of peace - and only a few minutes walk away.

Fantastic beach scene Jilly, looks so inviting, it's blowing up a storm outside my window, couldn't be more different!
ReplyDeletec'est l'heure des embouteillages ;) ah il y a moins de monde sur Evry Plage ;)
ReplyDeleteEveryone is having a fantastic time in the sun! Hope you joined them after the photo shoot.
ReplyDeleteFun to see the beach and the ocean! All those people - reminds me of "Where's Waldo?"
ReplyDeletethe girl in the center with her backpack looks over dressed in this wonderful crowd of skin.
ReplyDeleteI'm headed to the beach myself just next week. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI'd title your picture: "why I love winter"..! :o)
ReplyDeleteOur beaches in Tamarindo, Costa Rica are never crowded like this. I was in Southern California last weekend, however, and the glorious weather brought out huge beach crowds. It took an hour to find a place to park at Newport Beach on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteNice to see so many people enjoying being outside with one another.
ReplyDeletebusy beach day...loved looking at everyone and seeing what they are doing, great shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, Jilly, but tell me, how did you find a frame with so few topless people? I remember it being much more exposed at the beach. I was really challenged when I took some photos for my young nephew's "Flat Stanley" project. I did not know how topless beaches would go down in Iowa! (Flat Stanley loved it!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great beach scene! Reminds me of those illustrated books like Richard Scarry's for kids where you see people in various locations doing just about everything...
