Light up the Trees!

The lights in Menton this festive season have ranged from subtle to in-your-face. These are perhaps my favourite. Delicate lights that garland the trees in Rue Loredan-Larchey, just along from the Mairie.

En cette saison de fête, les lumières de Menton varient du subtil à l'outrance. Celles-ci sont peut-être mes préférées. Les douces lumières des guirlandes dans les arbres de la rue Loredan Larchey - proches de la mairie.

  3. I agree...so much overkill on lights. These are my kind, too.

  6. Very very nice !

Because the lights are soft perhaps this is the kind of street where you could try my "bougé" technique and experiment with light painting. Try a long exposure (up to 2 or even 4 seconds) and move your camera around as you take the picture...

  7. Nathalie ie proposing a blurred photo! I know how to make them without purpose!

This looks nice! Has Menton taken over the decoration we used to have on the Champs Elysées? New decoration there this year, not so well appreciated!

All the best to you for 2012! (Yes, I hope to see you again one of these days!)
