ReplyDeleteI have to visit this festival one day.
ReplyDeletej'ai vu la fête aux infos
ReplyDeleteun magnifique carnaval
je me demande ce que deviennent les citrons
c'est de plus en plus grandiose, ce chateau est magnifique ;)
ReplyDeleteOh My. Did you know they do this same kind of thing in South Dakota using ears of corn?
ReplyDeleteLook at this:
http://cornpalace.org/
Scroll down and look at some of the videos of the palace decorated in different years. Absolutely stunning to see in person, as your Fete du Citron is.
ReplyDeleteAbe, that corn festival is amazing as you say.
How in the world do "they" assemble the castle without it falling down? I'll bet the bees appreciate the people that are doing the assembly. :-)

Oh my this is spectacular
ReplyDeletei've been catching up on your blog, dear jilly, and oh, how glorious this year's fete du citron series has been so far!
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that so far, what you are showing us, this years festival is bigger and better. Magnifique!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I am going with Chambord.
ReplyDeleteI remember your photos of this festival last year and I am looking forward to seeing your pix this year, too.
The images they make from wire and citrus fruit is amazing. It reminds me in a way of what they do with flowers for floats for the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
ReplyDeleteA regional theme for this annual festival makes a lot of sense. The scale of the castle is marvelous.
