Gosh Jilly your new word verification is a nightmare. The new words we have to copy are long, 2 separate words occasionally with accents & punctuation (things like ê for heaven's sake !)
Could you try removing word verification and seeing how much spam you get? I personally use NO WORD VERIFICATION but moderation for all posts more than 15 days old and that works just fine. I never get any spam. The spam only always seem to occur on older posts. How about giving it a go? It would make the life of your commentators much easier !
Nathalie, I had NO idea it was a complicated word verification. Thought it was one simple word like on most people. I think your idea on moderation for posts older than 15 days is a good idea. Now I'll have to work out how to do it. Thanks.
Everybody's word verification has gotten complicated...I personally like it when I get comments long after the posting...so I prefer the word verification...it's a small price to pay for lack of spam...
