The Serenity Box
Isn't this a great idea? For one euro you can rent a 'Serenity Box' on the beach. Insert one euro and remove the bracelet (which includes the key) - put in your purse, camera, whatever - close the door and wear the bracelet.
The notice on the inside of the door asks you to clean the key before inserting it in the lock.

It's like a beehive of serenity. A good idea indeed. A small price to pay for serenity.
ReplyDeleteCould they not find such a good name in French?
Wow, though is an old idea, finally someone had the balls to get money approved and get it done officially!
ReplyDeleteI remember the times we were living at the beach (check jahtours.com), we had our stuff in lockers at the train station. These lockers vanished long time ago - now I see new ones sprouting and right on the beach where they are most needed!!
Nice idea. I like the nice shot of the beach & the people, too - a chance to do some people watching :)
ReplyDeleteLike security lockers in a train station. Good idea.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a very good idea. It's the same as the lockers for your clothes etc. in a public swimming pool. But why does it say 'gratuit' when it costs 1 Euro...?
ReplyDeletedj, when you give the key back you get the euo back. Just like with a shopping trolley. It's just that you need the euro piece to release the key.
ReplyDeleteWhy did they not think of this decades ago? They should have these on every beach.
ReplyDeleteI think people would use these even if they did not get their Euro back.
Than it is a perfect system! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs always, a simple idea to a problem when people visit the beach and are worried about security. Should have these at every beach
ReplyDeleteNow that's a brilliant service. Not easy to make it conspicuous enough yet not too intrusive in the landscape. I believe they did a pretty good job.
ReplyDelete(love all the parasols in the background !)
ReplyDeleteNever seen that before in Menton! what a great idea!
