I wonder how many McDonald's there are in the world? Don't tell me - I don't want to know. This one is near to Menton's market.

Je me demande combien de McDonald il y a dans le monde? Ne me le dites pas - je ne veux pas le savoir. Celui-ci est proche du grand marché de Menton.
So nice to see that full length wool coat ... we never see them here ... not even in the Winter.
ReplyDeleteWould you believe on a visit to Brussels a few years ago I had lunch in a McDo's .... What was I thinking!
Nice capture!! So you like McDonalds or not? :-)
ReplyDeletePixellicious Photos
Far too many!!!Will this lady go for a McFlurry, in a very McFurry way?
ReplyDeleteI remember driving down through France when our kids were small and stopping at a Mac's at Beaune. I sat there with a burger and said to my wife, "Here we are in one of the gastronomic capitals of the world and we're eating Bl**dy MacDonalds!!!
ReplyDeleteGood question. My last visit to any of them dates back to 1987.
ReplyDeleteI go to McD's once a year.
ReplyDeleteWhen I'm in holidays and fed up with pasta, pizza, fish...
Then a burger is a delicacy for me! But only then! ;-)

(All) McDonalds closed doors in Bolivia.
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you this, Jilly, but France is the fastest growing (and most profitable) market for McDo outside of the United States... I don't know why the French are so taken with it... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteI suspect this woman will not be stopping at McDonalds for her repast.
ReplyDeleteHere they paid a FORTUNE to build one! The people who owned the land and the old house probably felt that they had won the lottery!
ReplyDeleteIt is busy every day and night, so I guess it did not take long before Mc`Donald`s earned the money back.
Too many! I could not believe Menton had a McDonalds when we started going there. I have never eaten there. I do confess to eating at McDo's twice in Germany when my kids were young, once due to jet lag and time zone issues, and once when we were having culture shock. Of course, they are everywhere here, but they have a lot of competition from other purveyors of bad food. I was just as offended by the fur. It only gets cold enough in Menton to wear fur a few days a year, but they all show up at once on the promenade. I have always thought fur is most beautiful on the animal that grew it.
ReplyDeleteIf I do make it to Menton , I will stay well away .. Cannot believe that they are there too, they get everywhere :-(
ReplyDeleteThis was a very special post today to remind my American teenage grandchildren of the McDo next to Menton's colorful market where they gathered daily to plot their exploits. We all rented 3 Menton apts. for a family memory of a lifetime during the month of June. How I love to photograph the genteel well dressed elderly of this beloved town! Merci for bringing the summer memories back!
