Flamenco in Gorbio - Gitane Chants in the Church

Gorbio village is 'en fete' for three nights as we celebrate the 12th Flamenco Festival. It started with sacred Gitane chants in the church. The three singers, Gabriel de la Tomasa, Antonio El Clervo and Trini de la Isla sing with such intensity and passion. The guitarists, David Jimenez and Luismi Manzano play with a sweetness of tone and a sensitivity that delighted us all. They all received a standing ovation by those lucky enough to cram into the church of Saint Barthelmy. A stunning beginning to get us all in a flamenco frame of mind.

Le village de Gorbio est « en fête » pour trois nuits alors que nous célébrons le 12eme Festival Flamenco. Il a commencé dans l'église avec des chants sacrés Gitans. Les trois chanteurs, Gabriel de la Tomasa, Antonio El Clervo et Trini de la Isla chantent avec  tbeaucoup d intensité et de passion. Les guitaristes, David Jimenez et Luismi Manzano jouent avec une douceur de ton et une sensibilité qui ont enchanté tout le monde. Ils ont tous reçu une ovation debout de la part de ceux, assez chanceux, qui se trouvaient dans l'église  Saint Barthélémy. Un début magnifique pour nous tous dans un esprit de flamenco.
