Serre de la Madone - Lady and Mailbox


A small sculpture alongside a mailbox.  You see this as you enter the beautiful gardens of the Serre de la Madone in Menton.

Don't you love the detail of the the roof over the mailbox?

    I do! Even the mailbox looks long out of the past, but everything around it looks wonderfully old.

    It looks like five roof tiles. That should protect the advertising mail. Interesting that the virgin/saint/whatever needs to be protected in a plastic bubble.
