La Salumeria

Hams, salamis, cheeses, wooden barrels of olives,  sun-dried tomatoes, pasta, olive oil, wines - the bounty of Italy in a beautiful delicatessen, La Salumeria in Bari, Puglia.

  4. This is fascinating for Americans. Stores like this only exist as tiny and very expensive boutiques in the largest cities. We buy our food in shops as big as an airplane hanger and run away shrieking from fats. Our style may be economical but it is unlovely.
