Restaurant in Menton's Casino Barrière

The restaurant of the Casino Barrière in Menton offers beautiful views from the terrace.

I was there yesterday hanging my photography for an exhibition at the entrance to the restaurant, hence this snap.  Do come along and see them one day. The exhibition continues until the end of July.

Rabbit at the Restaurant le Beausejour

Sometimes eating a meal is like eating a painting! This is rabbit and vegetables as served at the wonderful Restaurant le Beausejour in Gorbio. Everything on the plate is edible, including the flowers. Bravo to Naila, the chef and co-proprietor. No wonder the Beausejour has been recognised with a Michelin Fourchette.

Parfois déguster un repas est pareil que déguster une peinture! Voici le lapin et ses légumes comme on les sert au merveilleux Restaurant le Beauséjour à Gorbio. Tout ce qui se trouve sur l'assiette est comestible, y compris les fleurs. Bravo à Naïla, le chef et copropriétaire. Pas étonnant que le Beausejour ait été récompensé avec une Fourchette au Michelin.

'Central Park Coffee'

Central Park in Menton? Not quite. However,  'Central Park Coffee' is an fabulously decorated restaurant based on the one in the TV series 'Friends.'  Here you'll find hamburgers, bagels, hot dogs and great service.   In the photo, veggieburgers, made with onion rings and a potato cake, mesclun and soft cheese.

Central Park à Menton? Pas tout à fait. Cependant, le "Central Park Coffee " est un restaurant au décor fabuleusement basé sur celui de la série TV 'Friends.' Vous trouverez ici des hamburgers, des bagels, hot-dogs et un excellent service. Sur la photo, des veggies burgers ( burgers végétariens), faits avec des rondelles d'oignon, une galette de pomme de terre, du mesclun et du fromage à pâte molle.

This was my lunch yesterday at the Bar/Restaurant Les Terrasses in Gorbio.  it's a Pot au Feu de la Mer - and it was as good as it looks.  Merci au chef, Fred.  Another day I'll show you what my friends ordered.

Naya at the Vulcano

Last night, after going to the vernissage of Roch Chinchila's beautiful photography, my friend Sylvie and I went to one of our favourite restaurants in Menton, the Vulcano, for a plate of pasta and a glass of wine.  Great pizzas and pastas here, cooked by chef owner, Driss. And very reasonable.

This little love was my neighbour.... well how could I resist! Her name is Naya, she's nearly 5 and was rescued by her owner - and plainly, they adore each other!

La nuit dernière, après le vernissage de la belle expo photo de Roch Chinchila, mon amie Sylvie et moi sommes allés dans l'un de nos restaurants préférés de  Menton, le Vulcano, pour un plat de pâtes et un verre de vin. Ici, les  pizzas et les pâtes sont supers, cuites par le chef/propriétaire, Driss. Et c'est très raisonnable.
Ce  petit amour était ma voisine .... aussi comment pouvais-je résister! Son nom est Naya, elle a environ 5 ans et a été sauvé par son propriétaire - et manifestement, ils s'adorent mutuellement!
